Eloyce Newman's Sparkle Designs, is the natural expression of the creativity she's nurtured since childhood. Growing up in West Texas, Newman painted detailed landscapes of her family's ranch land and lovingly created handmade cards that she gave as presents to family and friends. The sparkle in the eyes of all who received those gifts lives on in her memory and became the word she chose to nameher company.

Newman has drawn and painted her entire life. After receiving her bachelor's degree in visual arts, Newman taught beginning drawing and painting classes at a North Carolina community college. During that time, her own craftwork continued to blossom.

"I've always enjoyed making cards that were different and unique," says Newman. "For years, I've created handmade invitations for special events in my life."

While honing her craft and her eye for design, Newman spent ten years as a public relations specialist for a public university. She developed valuable experience creating newsletters, brochures, websites, and other innovative computer graphic designs, including special events invitations. Unable to find the elegant and unique invitations she wanted for the University's special events, Newman would often handpick materials from local scrapbook stores to make the invitations herself – at times, more than 200 invitations for a single event.

Together, this design work showcased Newman's talent and forged in her a desire to start her own business. In 2006, she created Sparkle Designs, which produces a fresh line of greeting cards offering unique wishes for everyday life experiences. Each of the imprintable and fill-in invitations, note cards and gift enclosure cards is printed on high-quality paper and features designs ranging from whimsical to contemporary to traditional. Newman's cards come in dozens of styles and colors, and her designs can be personalized by hand or printed on a home or office computer.

"With the founding of Sparkle Designs," says Newman, "I can share my creative talents with others. When customers give Sparkle cards to family and friends, I'd like them to feel the joy that I experience when I design these cards. Sparkle cards are created to celebrate everyone’s special moments – and offer a meaningful way for people to speak from the heart to those they care about most."
